Podcast Show #1

Christian Apodogetics Show #1 - May 10, 2005

The first Christian Apodogetics show is ready for download. It took a while but is finally done. It covers some introductory information and housekeeping. Please subscribe by pasting the XML feed in the "Contact" area into your favorite podcatching software or click the link above to download or stream to your audio player.

These podcasts will deal with the simple explanation and defense of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your input whether praise or critisism is greatly appreciated and I'll use your ideas in future shows.

Next Phase About to Begin

Many thanks to Adam Cates for permission to use his music on the Christian Apodogetics podcast. I will now be able to create my first podcast and have an intro/exit theme as well as a song to feature. You can sample his music at Indieheaven by clicking here. You can visit the Indieheaven web site by clicking the link under "Christian Links" at the right of this page. Please support the independent Christian artists so they can further their ministries and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Technical Evangelist Site Up and Running

I moved my Technical Evangelist blog previously located at greggmcgilvray.blogspot.com here, to the Christian Apodogetics server. You may reach it at Technical Evangelist or by clicking the link to the right under "Christian Links". I will be posting my monthly newsletter the "Technical Evangelist" there.

Podcasts Coming Soon

I have all the equipment I need to produce a podcast. I'm using Audacity on my laptop to capture the audio. In addition I purchased a Behringer Eurorack UB802 mixer which handles 6 inputs including 2 XLR feeds with phantom power for my Behringer B-1 microphone. I'll set up my iPod through the "tape in" RCA ports to play the intro and exit music and play promos from Christian and "family safe" sites.

I'm just waiting to contact some Christian indie artists for permission to use their music on my podcast. I am totally bewildered by all the licensing and legal ramifications of using commercially published music. I've been to IndieHeaven and GarageBand.com but have yet to settle on the music for the show.

If anyone has any other music links or knows an independent Christian band, please email me or post to this message.

Thanks and may God bless each one today!
